31st July is my second rezzday and my dear friend, the talented designer Starlight, sent me an early gift, this gorgeous gown called Pearl Mesh, black and white from her upcoming new line. It is mesh and comes in several sizes. It includes shoes and both a black feather boa and a white fur stole, that are not shown in the image. I of course was speechless and so happy and honored. I am not sure when the gown is going to be out but keep your eye on the House of Starlight Marketplace shop or visit her store inworld. She has a sale coming too with a lot of items for half price.

And on the topic of my second rezzday. It feels a bit strange that it has been so long, and yet it seems like I have been here forever, and not just two years.

I have a very busy SL schedule, and as I am having more stuff to do rl too, I am not sure I can keep doing the blog as much as I used to, even after my hiatus.

I have even been considering quitting the blog, but it just feels like a part of me now and would be difficult to let go of. I think I will just go less on my "rounds" for it and use more of things that I get sent by designers. And nobody has to blog three times a day every day like I did at some point. Plus it is not just a fashion blog, so I can babble about some of my projects, too.

SL9B finds by me part1

Here are some of my findings at SL9B.

The Virtual Museum of Architecture (VMA) Main location: (SLurl) At SL9B: (SLurl)

The Virtual Museum of Architecture (VMA) is a SecondLife entity that is dedicated to the education and exploration of various types of architecture.

Born from the Frank Lloyd Wright Virtual Museum, the VMA has expanded its interest into other styles of architecture, such as 19th Century Plantations, Sustainable Homes following LEEDS guidelines, the Art Deco designs of commercial buildings in the 1920s and most recently, the eclectic styles of Drive-in Restaurants of the 1950s.

Here in SecondLife, the VMA has a campus where we rotate our displays and hold educational lectures and fun building contests. We'd love to have you stop by and visit.

Tahby Photography has a really nice promotional plot at SL9B (SLurl). Simple and to the point, while being pleasing to the eye. And I enjoyed the relaxing athmosphere. They have a free gift.

I have been watching the development of the build in my neighboring plot and waiting to have a chance to visit. This build must have the best view on SL9b. You walk a long slide up, and all the while sigh at the breath taking look you get over the sims. And there is a hud in the works for the top platform. I found a lift, too. Fittingly the build is called The Engine of the Gods (SLurl).

Ok, so you know I have been a huge fan of Howear (SLurl) and Duce (SLurl) for ages now. Well today I have great news for you. Duce is now doing mens shoes as well! And today there is a cool set on the 25l promo wall at Howear.

This is what Saint, the owner and designer of Duce said in the notice:

Leather and chains

Congratulations to Heidi of Howear for hitting the 5000 group members milestone! Her outfits are always great quality, very detailed, and uniquely her style. I love the way she uses fabrics and other materials. The clothes are easy to mix and match with Howear items and other stylish fashion brands.

Heidi has a new outfit out every weekday. The outfits are available for 25 lindens during the first day of their release.
Neighboring sim, short walk away, houses a shoe store called Duce, which has a great group too with free group gift versions of shoes sometimes shown on the 25l board at Howear.

Content for creators

Just a quick post for content creators. I found myself taking part in the
Sculpt Studio Office Hour (Every Sunday 6 am SLT 2 pm SLT) by the makers of Sculpt Studio and the new Mesh Studio (Website) at Tech Expo (Website) (SLurl), an island for classes and information for SL content creators. Interesting information, about the tools, and advice for creating, can also be found in the group Sweet sculpties (Group).

I am very new to sculpting, so I am only offering you these links to where to find the information. I have done some very simple sculpts on Rokuro (Website), but am not yet familiar with more advanced tools. You can find classes for builders in other groups as well. I have found Builders Brewery (Group) and Happy Hippsters (Group) very useful. They also have free materials and building sandboxes.

I was just gonna pop in

I was just gonna pop in at Lisp Bazaar (SLurl) for the 50l Fridays on my way to take pictures for my post, but then I saw they had a market set up with a lot of amazing stuff for just 10 lindens and I wanted a quick look around at the store itself and well I am still there and want to take everything home with me, lol.
So I just ended up taking my picture while there. The sofa on the left is called Boho and is one of the 10l items they have scattered indoors as well. On the table in the middle I found a craft basket for 45l and I am a huge crafting fanatic, so of course I had to get it. Fans of old horror and those of you who spend time with or are geeks probably know Lovecraft.. Well Lisp has an entire room with dark and mysterious stuff that is just made of awesome and I had to get a chair with a creature on it that reminds one of Cthulhu. I might go back for the one with a Raven (E.A.Poe anyone?) on it. Do you ever play the game "who would you wanna be if you weren't you?" Well I would so wanna be the person who makes this stuff. The store is visually so gorgeous, I want to move in.

Tinies make a Big Glamorous Splash

Every year designers from The Raglan Shire gather to show their latest in winter gear and haute couture collections at the Raglan Fashion Show.

Designer Dagmar Klaar  built this amazing set for the fashion show that gathered over 180 000 linden dollars for the Shire. The set has so many gorgeous details and awesome building tricks, I could spend ages looking around. It was made for just this event but luckily Da Frog tp'd me in before it was burned down in a very fun tiny tradition. ;)
