Here are some of my findings at SL9B.

The Virtual Museum of Architecture (VMA) Main location: (SLurl) At SL9B: (SLurl)

The Virtual Museum of Architecture (VMA) is a SecondLife entity that is dedicated to the education and exploration of various types of architecture.

Born from the Frank Lloyd Wright Virtual Museum, the VMA has expanded its interest into other styles of architecture, such as 19th Century Plantations, Sustainable Homes following LEEDS guidelines, the Art Deco designs of commercial buildings in the 1920s and most recently, the eclectic styles of Drive-in Restaurants of the 1950s.

Here in SecondLife, the VMA has a campus where we rotate our displays and hold educational lectures and fun building contests. We'd love to have you stop by and visit.

Tahby Photography has a really nice promotional plot at SL9B (SLurl). Simple and to the point, while being pleasing to the eye. And I enjoyed the relaxing athmosphere. They have a free gift.

I have been watching the development of the build in my neighboring plot and waiting to have a chance to visit. This build must have the best view on SL9b. You walk a long slide up, and all the while sigh at the breath taking look you get over the sims. And there is a hud in the works for the top platform. I found a lift, too. Fittingly the build is called The Engine of the Gods (SLurl).

SL9B Friendly Chatter Café

My SL9B plot, the Friendly Chatter Café (SLurl) is finally done. I was going to spend two days on it, but got a bit "inspired" with all the treats and drinks and gifts etc. I hope you can visit at some point. SL9B is a huge celebration with a bunch of sims full of attractions and entertainment. But I figured, everyone needs a break sometimes. :) With so much to see, even virtual legs get tired sometimes. The sims open for public on 18th of June, 2012. SL9B ends 27th of June. Have fun!

Stuff of Legends

Brews & Blues (SLurl) has been one of my favorite SL clubs for a while now. Excellent dj's, lovely atmosphere and a community that feels like a family keeps us regulars coming back again and again. Some even live on the sim. These pictures show a couple of the gorgeous houseboats you can rent to live in. There are two spots for dancing, the big club hall and the beach platform.

The location also houses some small businesses in lovely cottages with a route to the rest of the sim. Among those businesses is an art gallery I wanted to show you. The Blue Moo (SLurl) is a creative outlet for Margee, a rl musician, who enjoys making Photoshop art while listening to blues. Works include portraits of such musical figures as Kelvinblue Oh, a dearly missed SL Blues Legend, Eric Sardinas, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Bonamassa.

Darker shade of paradise

Severed garden (Website) (Image Gallery) (SLurl) Here is a cool shop I found while doing the Zombie popcorn hunt 6 (Website). The views are gorgeous. Everything is very detailed and lovely.

This plantation was build with great attention to detail, as a great tribute to the real Houmas House and plantation, in Louisiana, US. You can find the story behind the virtual location by clicking a sign for a notecard. Rooms in the house have pineapples, which contain more detailed information. And while doing a quick search online, I found this amazing video of a tour guide giving the guests an experience, in the real life house.

Sound of silver

I was being naughty, and used my wind light settings, instead of midnight settings, for the location. I think the snow looks great as a backdrop for a shoot, though. I recommend visiting Arctica Dreams By Rebeca Bashly (SLurl). It is quite a transcendent experience with the music and the wide fantastic space. Great for thinking.

Tinies make a Big Glamorous Splash

Every year designers from The Raglan Shire gather to show their latest in winter gear and haute couture collections at the Raglan Fashion Show.

Designer Dagmar Klaar  built this amazing set for the fashion show that gathered over 180 000 linden dollars for the Shire. The set has so many gorgeous details and awesome building tricks, I could spend ages looking around. It was made for just this event but luckily Da Frog tp'd me in before it was burned down in a very fun tiny tradition. ;)

Amarantha, the exposé. Rhinoh the Intern returns

Haunted Mansion and the Maze. Casper helps push the car. A renter complains "The landlord never fixes the lights around here. And have you SEEN the cobwebs?!"

Resident not willing to comment on the rumors that Badger Albatros is actually an escaped convict. Hazardous oversight in warning signs: skull piling allowed while local boys fear cuties. Kittycat Black modeling for Pumpkin Carver. "I definitely feel more attractive than the competition". Live performance failure: "All these tired comebacks", comments an audience member.

Wally confirms: "My owner is known as the Booing Blondie". Wiz gets into a funk: "I am emo now". Spider couple proud of their house security: "We recommend Werewolf Watch services to all property owners".

Green goo seen seeping from underground. Another city code violation? Nanny and owner of Ghost Nightcare Inc. says: "Others pale in comparison". Magic garden and a well of strawberry jam. Amarantha travel industry "looking forward to" a rush of visitors.

Local businesses tough on crime. This thieving tree was thrown to jail by the Watch. Loyal customers come back even after passing. Pink Purrr at the height of her hay days.
