August already

Summer has gone by so fast. I can't believe it's August already. I have done a few blog posts here and there but mostly the hiatus has been on since last spring. I have so much other stuff to do. I love the blog and I especially love the gorgeous designs sent to me to blog. If I had 48 hours in a day, I would blog just as much as I used to. But things change, and I just have to accept I can not be everywhere at once.

2 years old

31st July is my second rezzday and my dear friend, the talented designer Starlight, sent me an early gift, this gorgeous gown called Pearl Mesh, black and white from her upcoming new line. It is mesh and comes in several sizes. It includes shoes and both a black feather boa and a white fur stole, that are not shown in the image. I of course was speechless and so happy and honored. I am not sure when the gown is going to be out but keep your eye on the House of Starlight Marketplace shop or visit her store inworld. She has a sale coming too with a lot of items for half price.

And on the topic of my second rezzday. It feels a bit strange that it has been so long, and yet it seems like I have been here forever, and not just two years.

I have a very busy SL schedule, and as I am having more stuff to do rl too, I am not sure I can keep doing the blog as much as I used to, even after my hiatus.

I have even been considering quitting the blog, but it just feels like a part of me now and would be difficult to let go of. I think I will just go less on my "rounds" for it and use more of things that I get sent by designers. And nobody has to blog three times a day every day like I did at some point. Plus it is not just a fashion blog, so I can babble about some of my projects, too.

This plantation was build with great attention to detail, as a great tribute to the real Houmas House and plantation, in Louisiana, US. You can find the story behind the virtual location by clicking a sign for a notecard. Rooms in the house have pineapples, which contain more detailed information. And while doing a quick search online, I found this amazing video of a tour guide giving the guests an experience, in the real life house.

Storybook lovely

The Seasons Gatcha (SLurl) event is full of beautiful items, prized quite fairly. The look of this winter cove is lovely. Storybook lovely.

The dress for Where is the Concert hunt, by Snowpaws, is really beautiful. The name fits it well, it looks poetic and dreamy. I liked trying on a new shape for once. As you know, I normally use my own for posts. The Diva shape works nicely with the skin.
